How do I change my credit card information on my account?

We have a convenient payment portal to update your payment method, check upcoming invoices, and see past paid invoices. You can access the payment portal HERE

Do we need to provide our own instrument for band?

Yes, you will need to provide your own instrument for your students’ band lessons and rehearsals. We do partner with Eckroth Music, which offers a fantastic monthly rent-to-own program.

Many families choose to purchase an instrument used, or borrow an instrument form a family member or friend. Be sure to double check with your band director that it is a trusted instrument brand before purchase.

Encore Ensembles also has a limited selection of instruments available for purchase. Instruments are used, and will be sold in playable condition. Upon purchase, your family takes the responsibility of regular maintenance. If for whatever reason your family does not need the instrument anymore, Encore Ensembles will buy back the instrument for half the purchase price, as long as it is returned in a similar condition as it was sold.

If you are interested in purchasing an instrument, please reach out to Laura Thompson at thompson@encoreensembles.com

What does the band schedule look like at my school or homeschool band?

Every schedule is unique to the school or homeschool band. Your Encore Ensembles teacher will provide specific information on the schedule for your child’s band. Please reach out to them directly with any specific questions.

Should my child be practicing at home?

Regular practice is the best way to get the most out of your weekly lessons. We recommend scheduling practice into a homework routine, or practicing between after school activities. We recommend practicing for at least 5 days per week, 20 minutes each practice session.

Do you offer choir classes?

At this time we do not offer choir as part of Encore Ensembles.

Do you offer piano lessons?

At this time we do not offer piano lessons as part of Encore Ensembles.

Band is not a good fit for my child. What is your refund policy?

Monthly payments will be suspended upon withdrawal from band; there is no prorated refund offered for lessons not received. Prorated refunds are offered for semester and annual tuition.

Homeschool Band Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a drop-off program?

We ask that when your children are not in lessons or rehearsal, they are supervised by an adult. Many of our band families work together for supervision during band days. There are classrooms available at all of our locations for private study.

What does the homeschool band schedule look like?

Every homeschool band schedule is unique to that group. Typically, we schedule group rehearsal in the middle of the day - late morning or early afternoon - with lessons scheduled before and after. We work directly with your family to create a schedule that works for your busy homeschool schedule.

My child cannot attend band at the designated rehearsal time. Can they take lessons only?

Yes, we are happy to provide a lessons-only option. Please reach out to your band director directly to make arrangements.

What are the parent volunteer expectations?

At this point there are no parent requirements for volunteering or supervision. As our homeschool bands continue to grow, those needs may change.

At the end of the band day, please double check to make sure all trash is thrown away, you have all your possessions, and lights are turned off behind you.

What are the expectations at home?

At-home practice is an important piece of the puzzle, and will allow your child to get the most out of weekly lessons and rehearsals. We encourage you to incorporate practice into your regular school day at home at least 5 days per week to help your child get into the habit of practicing their instrument.
